Laura has over twenty-five years of experience as a practicing attorney in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and has several areas of specialization. Laura represents local New England banks and individual mortgage holders on all aspects of residential and commercial mortgage foreclosures, loan workouts, bankruptcy, and related issues. Additionally, Laura specializes in timeshare condominiums and vacation clubs and provides representation to national clients in connection with resort and timeshare developments, as well as representation to traditional condominium associations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Laura provides a wide range of services for her condominium and timeshare clients, including governance and enforcement of association rules and regulations and lien enforcement of condominium fees and timeshare maintenance fees and membership payments, including foreclosure and bankruptcy.

Laura has lectured on condominium lien issues for the Massachusetts Conveyancer’s Association, Massachusetts Real Estate Bar Association, MCLE and on time-share issues for the American Resort Development Association and is a member of the MA and NH Bar Associations as well as a member of REBA and the American Resort Development Association. Laura is also a contributing author for MCLE’s Massachusetts Mortgages, Foreclosures and Workouts and Massachusetts Condominium Law.

As a member of ARDA, Laura played an integral role in ARDA-New England’s efforts to stream-line the burdensome and expensive foreclosure procedure time-share resorts were forced to undertake to remove non-paying resort owners. In 2010 after a nearly six-year campaign which included drafting and revising the relevant provisions of MGL c. 183B, lobbying efforts, meetings with state legislators and State House hearings, the revised Sections 29 and 29A of MGL c. 183B took effect, allowing time-share resorts to more economically foreclose on unpaid liens.

Prior to graduating from law school, Laura was a residential loan closing coordinator for Boston Safe Deposit and Trust Company and worked in the claims department of Chicago Title Insurance Company.
